The name

Breadlington sounds like a place, because that's the job.

Every “‑ington” on a map names a market town that outlasted whatever was being sold in it that century. The shopfronts changed hands; the name held. A holding company is an address the ventures can outlive.

Bread is the plainer fact. Earning your bread, the daily bread, a breadwinner: none of it is about flour. It is about what keeps a household running while the actual work happens elsewhere in the building. Breadlington doesn't publish an article, rate a player, or ship a build. It funds the people who do.
